WE ARE BOUND BY SHADOWS!

Bound By Shadows was officially established on 21st April 2009.

We formed a four-piece metalcore band originating on the Central Coast. Dylan Langanke (guitar) had found a guy named Jordan “Jay Jay” Julius, who played drums. He informed Will Patterson (vocals) and Todd Wollins (bass) and they decided to ask him if he wanted to meet up. Dylan called Jay Jay and asked him if he wanted to play in a metalcore band.
He said “We should have a jam together.” So we organised our first jam on the 4th April.

We all clicked quite fast and the music we were playing was great. Just over two weeks later, we organised our second meeting. On the same day, April 21st, we finalised ourselves as a band: Bound By Shadows…

The genres we are classified as are metalcore mixed with Deathcore. We are also melodic in some aspects of our music. The bands we are similar to are:
-Carnifex.
-I Killed The Prom Queen.
-Parkway Drive.
-The Red Shore.
-Suicide Silence.
Our focus in composing music is to be as heavy as possible and particularly technical with a hint of melodic features.

We aspire to be the best band we can be. Whether we are practicing or playing live, we play to the best of our ability. If we make it big we will be very pleased. But being a local band and liked by our local people is what we would be happy with the most.
