CENTRAL COAST COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL |
CENTRAL COAST COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2005:
Adam Brand is one of Australia 's most popular and successful contemporary country music artists.
Since the release of his self-titled debut album in January 1998 he has received eight CMAA Golden Guitar Awards and three Mo Awards. His three albums to date have spawned innumerable #1 singles and he is one of a handful of country artists to achieve platinum album sales.
It's not only Adam who will be on show - The Entrance and surrounding areas will be buzzing with talent, as many of the best artists throughout the country converge on our area.
The festival kicks off on the Friday night and runs through until Sunday evening. With too many acts to list them individually, the focus will be The Entrance outdoor venues during the day, then moving to the pubs and clubs in the evening.
And just when it sounds like the festival can't get any better, it turns out that entry to most of the venues is absolutely free!
For a hint of what is in store, acts over the weekend include Adam Brand, Felicity Urquhart, The Flood, Travis Collins, Bill Chambers, Trev Warner, Rob Wilson, The Fuellers, Matt Frost, Boot Hill, Tracy Coster, Angela Hayden, Alby Pool, Dale Hooper, Jonah's Road, The Lees and many, many more.
To celebrate young, local talent, the entertainment on Memorial Park will be launched with a ‘Youth Showcase' on the Saturday morning. Sponsored by MasterFoods, this Showcase will feature up to ten talented performers, all eighteen years old and younger! Try and spot the next Adam, Kasey or Gina!
And it isn't just the music that makes this festival so great. There is also a Poet's Breakfast on the Sails Stage on the Sunday morning, Wandering the Lakes Cruises featuring top quality Country Singers, and Country Music Double Decker Bus Tours. For the car enthusiast, there will be a huge Ute Show in Lakeside Shopping Centre Car Park on the Sunday of the festival. Categories include: Best Custom Ute, Best Restored Ute, Best Work Ute, Best Feral Ute, Best Chicks Ute and Best 4x4 Ute.
Memorial Park will also come alive with stalls & exhibitions to entertain the crowds, including the Tex Morton museum and a Vintage Farm Machinery exhibition. For the young at heart there is plenty on offer, with show rides, face painting, temporary tattoos, fairy floss and much, much more.
Due to the fact that the festival does not charge entry fees, it would not be possible without it's sponsors. This year, new sponsors have come on board to support the event including Krone as the Memorial Park Stage Sponsor.
The Entrance Town Centre Management would like to thank all its sponsors:
Tourism NSW, Wyong Shire Council, Central Coast Express Advocate, NBN Television, Hits & Country 94.1, Krone, Lakeside Shopping Centre, 2GO & MasterFoodswide.
