 CHICKEN TRAIN SKIFFLERS:
Formed in 2005 as part of the Central Coast Country Music Festival, The Chicken Train Skifflers are a country dance band, just as skiffle bands were in the 1920's.
The Chicken Train Skifflers plays a unique liberation of a lost style of music, fusing ragtime, blues, country, bluegrass and rock & roll to produce the traditional skiffler sound, with a knee slapping twist to produce a truly original experience.
The Chicken Train Skifflers are like family. All of the members have been close friends for years with musical resumes totalling well over 100 years.
The Chicken Train Skifflers show how to turn a banjo, mandolin, guitar, wash board, gut bucket bass, fiddle, harmonicas, kazoo, Jews harp and what ever else they can find that makes an interesting sound or beat, into a magical burst of beer swigging, hand clapping, foot stompin' hell of a good time!!!
Ragtime Skiffle Music may be the bastard child of the blues or the root of jazz? But one thing is for sure! It's the funniest music ever invented.
If you ain't dancing when The Chicken Train Skifflers are playing, then you've either got a broken knee or are passed out in the corner... ?? |
