Tree Of Dreams imageWhats On logo button TREE OF DREAMS :
We will be lighting up the big tree on the 2nd December at Coast Hotel Budgewoi for the month of December and raising money for the Iris Foundation (suicide awarness and prevention)

On Friday December 2nd, the lights will go on in Budgewoi Circle to support the prevention of suicide on the Central Coast.

The large tree in front of the Coast Hotel will be filled with lights but additionally it will have hundreds of handwritten positive messages of hopes and dreams from members of the public.

Not only is this an affordable way for the local community to donate to suicide prevention, it will also give each person the opportunity to contribute their own positive messages of hope and support to those currently struggling.

The concept has been brought to life by 4 women from Budgewoi who have all been touched by suicide and wanted a unique way to support the prevention of suicide on the Coast. NSW Coroners Court statistics put the region’s suicide rate of 11.8 per 100,000 above the national average of 10.9 per 100,000 people.

Kylie Skinner from Peachies Hair Budgewoi gathered sponsors for the event and was thrilled to gain the support of The Coast Hotel, Bantacs Central Coast Accounting and Adam Treecare.

Tags can be purchased for $5 each from the following Budgewoi businesses: The Anchor Coffee Bar & Grill, Northlakes Swim Centre, Saltwater Quality Seafoods and Peachies Hair.

For further information about the Iris Foundation please contact Dawn Hooper via email: admin@irisfoundation.org.au.

On your tag you can write your Dream, Wish, Good Hope on your tag that will be displayed and hung from the lights
