 MID LIFE CRISIS :
Mid Life Crisis is a band consisting of six multi-instrumental permanent members employing guitars, bass, keyboards, sax, drums, mandolin, congas/percussion and five vocalists. This versatility allows an interchangeable line-up and wide repertoire and bright structured harmonies permeate throughout a rock solid show.
Combining its members, on present calculation, 140 plus years of live performance MLC has evolved into a tight, energetic and completely self-contained unit. As is the case with some long-standing acts, they have progressed past the point of being well rehearsed to being able to re-introduce an air of spontaneity, which is essential for fluid adaptation to varying requirements and to engage differing audiences.
Their members history boasts working Australia-wide and beyond, including television exposure, commercial recording success and supporting/working with names such as – Joe Cocker, INXS, Easybeats, Billy Thorpe, John Farnham, Normie Rowe, Renee Geyer, Ice House, Twilights, Loved Ones, Squeeze and many more.
Energy, energy, energy! The fury of the front line - John and Bronwyn Sullivan - is nearly super-human. There is actually a prize on permanent offer to anyone who can spot a lull in action from either one for 10 seconds or more. It has never been claimed.
The good nature and sometimes edgy humour of the main communicator, Greg Young, is something that people invariably remember. Fortunately he has not yet been arrested.
A vast collection of instruments, sound gear and lighting displays contains both rare classics and cutting edge technology and is often a point of comment for those whose interests are so inclined.
Seldom does a collection of people arise that combine so naturally to enthuse and exude such obvious joy to the task at hand. They play for the love of it and it shows.
