Little Blues Festival imageWhats On Logo button image LITTLE BLUES FESTIVAL:
Your chance to perform live blues at Toukley Golf Club.

With the hope of fostering blues music on the Central Coast, local award-winning songwriter Julia Starr is glad the Little Blues Festival now has a home.

The little Blues Festival is a new, First Sunday of the Month, show featuring a house band 'The Rollercoasters Blues Band'.

The Little Blues Festival is gaining popularity as the best little show in Toukley.

Every month, a selection of blues musicians band together for a free community show at the Toukley Golf Club.

The show features Toukley's own blues outfit, the Rollercoaster Blues Band, to supply the blues standards and new original music- much to the appreciation of the growing numbers of followers who keep coming back to listen and enjoy.

So far, the new show has featured performances from song writing greats Julia Starr and local performer Ken Polson.

The show is proving to be more of a success each month, with numbers increasing and people arriving from beyond the peninsular to be part of the event and show support.

"The Little Blues Festival provides a great base for the future of music on the Central Coast. The venue is family friendly, and entry is free."

The mission for this community-based show is to foster development of blues and roots music on the Central Coast - and for like minded blues musicians to get together in a family friendly environment - to play blues music.

Such is the snowballing popularity of the Little Blues Festival you can now also see, hear and maybe play at the newest addition on the second Sunday each month at the Gwandalan Bowling Club around 3pm.

There are 3 guest spots available for 20 minutes and original blues music is very welcome.

If you are interested in performing or jamming with the house band - please forward your interest to Julia's email (listed below).

Let Julia know what you play and do - and when you'd like to play.
MP3's are welcome, and she needs to hear your style first - to make sure you are on the same page.

"I can't guarantee everyone a spot in the next show - but I will try to plan ahead."
Julia Starr

Entry is by gold coin donation to the charity nominated on the day. Be early to gain a seat.
