THE GOODS : Bateau Bay Hotel February 26 2005:

Life is always filled with change.
From my first introduction to the band when they were Damaged Goods, so much is so vastly different to what it was once thought, and what it was going to be.
One of the original founding members still remains attached to what's left of the name and the band to carry on the music.
The band is now the 'The Goods' a duo going strong.
Jeff Brown and Tony Carrol (ex Rough Diamond) can be seen regularly on the Coast and have built a solid reputation and fan base.
Along with the lineup changes came a change in the set list. Gone are the heavy, head banging styles so suited to previous frontman Dave Feint. Tony's vocal style is so well suited to the classic hits that this duo covers.
As per usual the talent and guitar brilliance of Jeff lends the ability to play almost any style of music and he seems right at home, still giving his all to the music.
With an interesting mix of covers from artists such as Queen, Billy Idol, Santana, Steve Earle and The Eagles, to mention a few, there is usually very little to no space left on a very lively dance floor.
You may find a band playing somewhere, sometime that makes you wonder how they scored a gig. That may have been the first and last time you see them play. Not so The Goods.
These guys have a consistently regular circuit of gigs that has been going on for so long, you just know they are doing good things.
Entertainment is the industry and these guys are here to stay.
When it all comes down to it, you know you're only gonna make it if you've got the Goods!
