Coming from the Central Coast of NSW, The Usual Suspects consist of members Frank Russell (DoubleBass, Guitar and Harmonica) Cec Bucello (Guitar, Mandolin) Marilyn Russell (Mandolin, Violin and percussion).

The group has strong harmonies and play a mix of contemporary Folk and Old Time mixed with originals, sometimes called contemporary Old Time or Folkabilly.

The group has been performing together since 1999. They have performed as booked performers since 1999 at festivals, folk clubs and charity events for many years including St Albans Folk Festival, King Street Fair Newcastle, Sessionfest, Sutherland Folk Club, Troubadour Folk Club, Relay for Life Woy Woy and Mingara, Peninsula Theatre Woy Woy, Cultural Laboratory for Gosford City Council, Macquarie Towns Folk Club, Hornsby Folk Club, Shekinah Café – Caves Beach, Brackets & Jam – Kincumber, Putt Putt Regatta – Davistown, National Folk Festival Blackboards, Patonga Festival, Umina Beach Folk Festival. 2009 Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass festival. Since September 2010 every second Friday evening at Randall’s on the Beach Killcare.

FRANK RUSSELL: Vocals, Double Bass, Guitar, Harmonica.
MARILYN RUSSELL: Vocals, Mandolin, Violin, percussion.
Sometimes:

Frank, Cec and Marilyn are the founding members of the Troubadour Folk Club on the Central Coast, which has been running since 1998.

Their first CD “First Offence” was released in December 2006. The song “How Long?” was featured on the 2008 Pick of the Crop Trad & Now CD.
