Although I love my music and I can appreciate some fine guitar, nothing could have prepared me for this.
The verbal tecnical side of effects and pedals and the like is often lost on me. If it makes it sound great, thats wonderful.
These two were so good I actually understood some of what they were saying and was floored by what one little gadget can do.
The winner of the competion and friend, both guitar lovers, were amazed as well, I believe, by the smiles I was witnessing.
Ralf's easy manner in demonstrating was only exceeded by his ability to play the guitar.
He deftly found his way around a few buttons and bingo, instant band on stage. Convert to CD or Mp3? Well I almost blinked and missed it, thats how fast it was. Amazing piece of technology
Little wonder Ralf has enjoyed so much success overseas. It is a shame that he has to leave us without a full on gig but we can expect a CD to be realeased here when some lucky A&R person picks it up. You can read more on
Ralf here.
Jennifer had her turn and was as entertaining in her knowledge and guitar ability as she was in her most interesting adventures with Michael Jackson and Jeff Beck.
She has a unique flavour to her own music and again her CD would be an asset to any music collection. Although suffering a giant dose of Jet lag, Jennifer was chatting away with the interested audience both during and after the show.
A lovely lady and one I am sure would have some more interesting yarns to relay without such young and tender ears around.
A huge thank you to Adam Lang and the crew from Macron for such an interesting night.
