By the Fire are a dynamic, up-and-coming local cover band who are known for their entertaining performances, ability to draw large crowds, and the broad range of artists they are able to cover so well.

Since their debut late last year, By The Fire have captured the attention of many at their gigs, having successfully established a loyal group of fans, and always finding new ones along the way!

The boys have recently added more relaxed, Acoustic gigs to their repertoire, so far having played this style twice at the picturesque Shelly Beach Surf Club on Sunday afternoons.

By The Fire’s musical resume:
• performed outdoors to 75,000+ people at the Tough Mudder 2012 event at Glenworth Valley
• Sunday afternoon acoustic sessions at Shelly Beach Surf Club
• headlined the School Holiday Showcase on the main stage at The Entrance in July 2012
• engagement and 40th birthday parties
• repeat performances at Jacks Bar at Erina and Berowra Village Tavern
• debut performance at Ourimbah Campus

The all-male five-piece band includes two sets of brothers, who are all great mates.

During their shows the boys demonstrate their talent and versatility with the ability to jump from playing Michael Jackson to rocking AC/DC the next.

Bassist Ryan Kinninment said they take the best of pop and rock from the past 40 years and jam it into one performance.

Be assured that a By The Fire gig has an ever-expanding set list of well-known songs from the 1970s through to the ‘90s in an atmosphere where audience dancing in front of the stage is encouraged.

By The Fire consists of Ryan Kinninment on bass guitar, lead vocalist Simon Kennedy, drummer Daniel Kennedy, and brothers Andrew and Nick Lawther on rhythm and lead guitar and vocals.

By The Fire are available for all functions and events.
