The Fab Two are from New South Wales, Australia, and their goal is to keep the music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Troggs, The Who, The Shadows, The Hollies, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Byrds & all other great artists of the '60's alive & kicking. They share the common belief amongst fans all across the universe that it's all about the music, the love and the fun..............we hope you will enjoy the vibe & excitement of the '60's!
The Fab Two came into existence when Tony Remedios, who played before in The Beatnix and The Echoes, decided he wanted to put together an authentic '60's show that captured the raw energy of the era with a repertoire not just confined by The Beatles but also adding other great artists, like The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Troggs, The Who, The Shadows, The Hollies, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Byrds to name a few.
After several line ups over the last 10 years, The Fab Four have now grown to be one of the major '60's shows in Australia, sounding as authentic as the artists they emulate, with all vocal harmonies, original instruments & amps to ensure realistic live reproduction of the original material.
Current nuclear line up since two and a half years consists of Tony Remedios & Peter Vandersteen, who also double as The Fab Two ( duo version of The Fab Four ) with a variety of their friends on bass & drums.
You can catch a glimps of their show on their website, www.thefabfour.com.au, with live video feed & audio downloads and a giguide for the next performance in a club near you for you to enjoy the whole show !

The Fab Two, Peter Vandersteen and Tony Remedios - What's On Central Coast imageWhats On Central Coast Logo Button image THE FAB TWO: The Entrance Memorial Park February 12 2006:
Setting the mood for the American Muscle Car Show today were the duo of Peter Vandersteen and Tony Remedios, The Fab Two.

Reminiscent of Happy Days and American Graffiti scenes and sounds, the Fab Two did some classic hits from the '60's and more recent times.

Although I am a fervent original music fan, cover bands do have a niche in the big scheme of things and today was a perfect exampleof this.

Wondering around the happy snappers and enthusiasts I noticed the onlookers almost unconsciously either tapping their feet when they were stationary or singing along quietly to the almost subliminal sounds of the band. It was quite intriguing.

The Fab Two played with validity, the covers they are famous for. If you are going to do cover you have to either do it well or do a more interesting and amusing version.
The vocals, shared between the two, were suited to that particular song and the guitar sounds and effects also evocative of the times.

I caught the last set and the list included some great classics. House Of The Rising Sun has always been a favourite and the two did a terrific version of I am The Walrus. Others in the set list included Every Breath You Take, Runaway, I wanna Hold Your Hand and A Hard Days Night to mention a few.
The last song was to be All Right Now by Free and I was a tad robbed that the files started with The Summer Of 69 track instead. I missed hearing the boys play that song, I guess I will have to request it at the next Fab Two Show!
