BIO - STONEFISH |
STONEFISH:
Stonefish has grown organically over the last three years, from jamming on a couple of acoustic guitars to the current six piece lineup. Think blues and funk, groove rock and fringe punk, add a triple nip of energy and passion and you get the picture.
The band kicked off in earnest after playing to the very hot-blooded crowd at the 2008 Patonga New Years Eve street party. Now hitting a sweet spot after some line-up changes and additions, they are starting to gig regularly on the Woy Woy Peninsula and surrounds.
Gigs tend to morph into an impromptu party scene. The punters join in with fast feet and howls of approval, which generally stirs the boys into an appropriate level of frenzy.
Stonefish are getting into the groove of doing pub gigs but are just as happy playing at private parties and functions, so get in touch to book. A PA system to suit your venue can be arranged.
Like any good chef, Stonefish regularly change the menu, but for now, the set list “du jour” includes:
Fishermans Blues (Waterboys)
Jean Genie (Bowie)
Pump it up (Elvis Costello)
Rebel Rebel (Bowie)
20th Century Boy (T-Rex)
