Taylor and the Makers — Chris Taylor (vox and strings), Bryce Crocombe (sticks and brushes) and Dan King (low tones) — blend reflective song writing with unadulterated melodies in a passionate mix of blues, roots and reggae.

Behind every song is a story or a snapshot of a moment in time, born out of intense curiosity and observations of a world stripped bare: meditations on themes like love, fear, homelessness, happiness. But TATM don’t just want to get you thinking. They’ll get your toes tapping too, with their irresistible blend of mellow tones and feel good upbeats.

“Taylor and the Makers are an all consuming disease that will creep slowly into your groove thang and have you shaking your baby maker the instant the first note tickles your ear hair”
Cpt. Simon Rogers, Stand Up And Shout Media, North America.

Taylor and the Makers’ eponymous first album was released in summer 2010.

A bit o’ history;
Taylor toured solo for years before founding TATM. Embracing local music scenes and festivals, Taylor has toured New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, Australia and partnered with international acts Alex Lloyd and Josh Pyke.

TATM is a band with international roots. Canadian Alex Glassford (formerly The Turn/ Daniel Wesley/Exit This Side) joined the family in 2009 to produce Taylor and The Makers' first release, bringing with him Kris Siegers, engineer and founder of Crying Light Productions (Vancouver, Canada).

Now, based out of Australia and North America, TATM have literally changed musical direction and are grooving their way onto the airwaves in both Hemispheres.
Explaining the change in musical direction, Chris says: “This trio embodies everything I have envisioned my music to be for such a long time. The chance to work with such amazing musicians is a gift. For years I've dreamt of delivering music in the way that we are just starting to. Music is a journey right? Maybe now we can take people with us.
And this is just the beginning of what I hope can be a great adventure.”
