Peter Healy, award winning songwriter, poet and actor has shared the stage with some of Australia’s finest blues and roots musicians, including Phil Emmanuel, Matt Corcoran, Kirk Lorange and Phil Manning.

He has worked as an actor in film alongside major stars Sam Neil, John Waters, Tom Burlinson, Craig McLachlan and Carrie Fischer.

His television credits include All Saints, Water Rats, Heroes 2, Breakers, Police Rescue and more. Peter has also enjoyed success in commercial radio and theatre.

"Earthy, rootsy, stimulating music".

Style comparisons are often made between Peter Healy's Big Rhythm and Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, John Butler and Pete Murray but make no mistake, this band definitely has it's own identity.

They say time flies when you are having fun... I know a few people who will be recovering from a mach 10 week-end.

The magic may be in the music but it is also in the company of good friends and laughter.

The Spring wind did not detract from the obvious... Peter Healy has been missed.

Two of the gigs over the week end had no shortage of CD sales, fans and interested newcomers alike.

The icing on the cake was the Sunday gig at The Sails Stage at The Entrance.

A sea of smiles, tapping feet, dancing children and extremely happy shop owners enjoyed an exceptionally vibrant performance from Peter Healy, King Rhythm and David 'Krusty' Underwood, who were, Peter Healy's 'Big Rhythm'.

With some brilliant new songs and the well known Healy classics, Big Rhythm closed another glorious Central Coast week-end for hundreds of locals and visitors alike.

Mr Healy has laid down some new tracks on an unpolished recording in Queensland. If the few new songs we heard this week end are any indication this CD will be 'Something Greater' than the last one..
